6 Dimensions of Wellness
The 6 dimensions of wellness are things we do every day and we just don’t know were doing them, we all have strong and weaknesses and here are mine.
Physical Health refers to the way your body functions. I am about 52% in the physical category. Instead of going home and eating a bowl of potato chips, I will instead have a bowl of mixed fruits. Although, I don’t feel I am overweight or underweight, it would benefit me in the long wrong and fruit tastes just as good as chips. I also could start eating a banana or an apple for breakfast instead of nothing at all. Overall I feel that I’m in a pretty good spot with my physical health.
Mental Health is the ability to recognize reality and cope with demands of daily life. I am about 85% in this category. I have problems with making decisions with something that I know is very important without stressing myself out to the max. Instead of stressing myself out I could think about the situation before I have to have my answer and give it more time and thought so I don’t end up freaking out. Oddly enough, after I do come to a conclusion I trust it.
Emotional Health is a way of expressing your feelings in a positive nondestructive manner. I am about 83% in this category. I’ve always felt comfortable expressing my emotions but I don’t really know how to deal with them on my own, when I have problems normally I know I can go to my friends or someone I can trust for help. But I feel good about who I am and overall I am a happy person.
Social Heath is the quality of relationships with whomever you come in contact with. I am about 76% with this category. I love spending time with family and friends. Like most others, I’m sort of shy when I meet new people and I
