At the first, what is air pollution? The air pollution is contamination of air by the discharge of harmful substances. We've got many pollutants, which cause air pollution. Like carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, lead and many more. All of these pollutants can cause lot of illnesses, like cancer, birth defects, brain and nerve damage, long-term injury to the lungs etc. They also damage nature and environment, they destroying forests, lakes, and animals. They destroy ozone layer; even buildings can be damaged by air pollution.
All these pollutants aren't made by nature; they are made by humans. Here are some major aspects of these pollutants.
The industrialization is one cause of air pollution. Almost every problem with air is because of industrialization. To the industrialization belong all kind of things such as cars, factories, power plants and more, and common thing of it is burning of carbon-based fuels. Everybody is using cars every day for going to the work, to go shopping, or to go to some trip. Old and cars in bad condition can release carbon monoxide, what is very dangerous gas without color, or smell. Carbon monoxide is released when the burning of carbon-based fuels is incomplete, it can happen in traffic jams or during busy day, but it can happen in factories too. Other pollutant from cars was lead; it is highly toxic metal. Lead has been phased out of gasoline, but there, are other sources of it. It includes paints, production of lead batteries, water pipes, and a few heir dye products.
