Explain what is the basis of Christian ethical beliefs and teachings.

Christian ethics is defined as the systematic study of the way of life set forth by Jesus Christ applied to the daily demands and decisions of human existence. Christian ethics developed while early Christians were under persecution by the Roman Empire. From the time when Nero blamed Christians for setting Rome ablaze (64AD), until Galerius (311AD), persecution was erupted periodically. Consequently, early Christian ethics included discussions on how believers should relate to roman authority and to the empire. Therefore, Christian ethics has developed over the centuries over time and society has changed rather than the ethics being created at one time and do not reflect societies views.
