In the commercial titled Bob’s House, it was very distinct that the main characters were supposed to be deaf. It was actually a very funny commercial, and the humor was most likely acceptable to everyone.

The humor was acceptable for many reasons. One was because the scene wasn’t necessarily making fun of them because they couldn’t hear, but was showing not being able to hear the horn and other annoying noises as an advantage. Also, nobody was making fun of the characters, and sometimes it’s ok to make fun of your self. And lastly, by honking their horn to single out Bob, it showed a very clever way of finding his house quickly which wouldn’t have worked for anyone that can hear.
