Over the years I have grown to appreciate fast food restaurants. As a parent, and a student cooking can become unachievable. There is hardly ever enough time to stand over a stove and cook a nice, hot meal anymore. When you have a full and busy schedule, making groceries can be time consuming. It is so convenient to have some one to prepare a meal for you. On nights when you are extremely tired, you can just drive up to a window to pick up your order. Now, fast food restaurants are open until 1am. During the day you can even bring your kids in to play. Many changes have been made over the past years with fast food restaurants to accommodate such versatile lifestyles. It is very competitive in the fast food world. The competition makes it harder to decide. Every since I was a child, hamburgers were my favorite food. I just could not decide which restaurant was the best, McDonalds or Burger King. Either it was a bright gold arch or the king with the crown. Both restaurants serve delicious burgers, fries, and desert.

The big gold arch! Thinking of McDonald’s hamburgers, make my mouth water. McDonald’s burgers are so delicious. They are served on a soft white bun. They come dressed with ketchup, mustard, pickles and small, fine chopped onions. Lettuce and tomatoes are only added to Value Meal burgers. They are so small and cute, that small kids can hold them on their own and feed themselves. Burger King’s hamburgers are scrumptious. All of their hamburgers are served on sesame seed bun. The size of Burger King burgers are more medium size. All burgers at Burger King are flame broiled. They come dressed with mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions. The flame broiled patty tastes like a burger from the grill of a backyard barbeque. Due to the size of Burger King’s hamburgers, they are favored more by adults.

From the beginning, McDonalds has been America’s French fry frenzy. Their fries are fried to perfection. They are lightly battered and fried to smooth crisp. Small fries are served in small neatly folded tissue paper to absorb grease. Large fries are served in small cardboard shaped boxes for easy handling. Their French fries are soft and edible for the kids, full of flavor for the adults. McDonald’s fries are lower in fat than fries from Burger King. Burger King on the other hand has fries fried to crispy crunch. They are fried with a thick batter
