Doll house is a play by Henrik Ibsen. It is about Nora and her husband Torvald. Their marriage is not stable it changes from time to time.Nora is not happy with her marrige because
her husband treats her like a child.So that, Nora decides to change her life from being an animal and a kid to be a real adult woman.
In the beginning of the play, Torvald,reffering to Nora, asks "Is that my skylark twittering out there?" (Act I,1565). Nora replies to him "Yes, it is"(Act I,1565).From the beginning of the play, it is evident that Nora is a carefree woman. Also,Torval thinks that she is his spoiled bird. After Calling Nora a lark, Torvald ,in contrast, calls her "Is that my squirrel rustling?" (Act I,1565).He calls her a suirrel because
he knows she hides something from him.She hides away the bag of macaroons from him.
In Fact, Nora is child controlled by Torvald. That is obvious when Torvald reteaches her the tarantella. At that time,Nora pretends that she needs Torvald to teach her every move in order to relearn the dance.Torval ,reffering to Nora,says"But Nora dear,you look so exhausted.Have you practiced too hard?"(Act II,1596).
