The biggest problem that I see in my work environment is drinking on the job. This problem is a major concern because this problem not only involves employees at the job but it all begins with one of the co-owners of the restaurant which also happens to the floor manager. The situation always happens in the same general format which is she starts to sneak drinks from the bar , she then becomes careless and allows herself t be seen sneaking the alcohol, and it always ends with her making a scene in front of the local customers and all of the other employees. To make this matter worse the other owner is her husband, and even though he complains of this problem to the employees he never addresses the situation at hand, which has now made other employees feel that it is also ok to drink on the job.

I feel that this problem needs to be tackled head on because if not it is going to spiral out of control. It is impossible to run a business properly and efficiently when the workers are under the influence. Once the owner allows herself to loss control not only does she lose control but she also loses control over her employees and ultimately her business. . At the same time, employers want their employees to perform their jobs well and not disrupt or endanger coworkers' activities. Smooth work transactions with customers and other members of the public also are important in many organizations, including the service sector.

I believe that the best way to begin to tackle this problem head on is to get the other owner to step up to the plate an first admit that this is a problem and that something needs to be down immediately.

My goals in approaching this problem are that the persons needing help will seek it, that this problem will be faced with empathy so as no one feels alienated and no jobs are loss in the process. However the workers at the job will understand that this problem will no longer be accepted and they will be terminated if they do not seek proper help and if this problem continues
