A Position Paper
Throughout the year’s sports has played a big role on all sorts of media whether it’s on radio, television, in newspapers articles or published in magazines. Sports has been put on a forefront for selling products nationwide through putting athletes off all types in commercials selling products like Gatorade, pizza from local pizza places etc. However, For the third time in the past five broadcast TV seasons, CBS booked the most sports bucks, raking in $2.8 billion, up 11percent vs. last year's $2.51 billion. Fox took second with a $2.64 billion haul, while NBC took the bronze with $2 billion in sports spend. While the $2.65 billion price suggests that the sports advertising shows no sign of bursting, the broader takeaway is that the sports deal making that informed the last few years will now turn for the good. For all the good and purposes, there are no more major sports portfolios left to be found. The cupboard is bare and will remain so through the start of the next decade. As I read on I found out that As was first reported , ESPN and Fox Sports will divide 50 football games and another 100 conference basketball games among themselves, with Fox retaining the rights to the Big Ten championship game and getting first hands on the most best matchups. Fox will move to the annual Ohio State-Michigan match away from ABC, which has been the broadcaster of record for the rivalry since the late 1960s. As you can see advertising plays a big role in sports it’s not only focused on things like commercials but things that are involved within the sports world. Marketing and advertising is a critical part of the overall sports stadium and team support. Advertisers and sponsors know that they have a audience to pitch their name and brand and that most of the fans are not only in a spending-mood, but appreciate the sponsors that take care of their favorite teams. The cost of building and maintaining a stadium is never covered in the price of the average ticket, but through the income that they receive from advertisers. It is a symbiotic relationship that assists in keeping a balance. The importance of advertisers and sponsors to today’s sports stadiums and games has been elevated to a requirement to maintain the balance. ESPN is an important media property in the sports-marketing world, and the value they provide to New Balance is an important piece of our marketing plan," said Ryan Cassidy, New Balance's digital associate manager for running. However advertisers offers New Balance a year-round conversation with a audience passionate about track and field. As more advertisers jump in the bandwagon, the higher for the technologies also increases and those costs are then reduced. This also has another effect in that it generates more businesses that are focused on delivering these technologies so you, the fan, can be have that best experiences at the game. In conclusion, sports advertising plays a big role in sports, this business won’t be as good if it wasn’t for advertising and for the commercials that air daily that are promoting the athletes of the National Football league, the National basketball association, and the National Hockey league. So, in that case sports articles will always be a part of marketing and advertising.
