Parents try to teach kids at a very young age simple lessons that will stick with them forever; lessons like "Look both ways before you cross the street" and "Respect your elders." For most kids, those lessons do stick to mind and are used everyday in any activity. Not for me; I rode my bike in the middle of the road without a care in the world, and I talked back to my parents all the time. Kids were always taught to not talk to strangers, but I was never the one to listen to my parents. This lesson really hit me hard a couple months ago at the Roswell football game versus Tift County at the Georgia Dome. The law of life "Strangers are just friends waiting to happen" directly relates to how I met my boyfriend.
At the game, I immediately recognized a boy that I had talked to before. At first, I was hesitant to talk to him because we didn't really know each other and met for maybe a split second. Finally, I gained the courage to talk to him. I slowly and gracefully walked up to him and asked if he remembered me. He turned around to see my face and said: "Well hello Aerial." At that time that we officially introduced ourselves because we had only briefly met before. We sat together the whole game and I really got to spend time with him. I got to looking at him and realized this gorgeous guy sitting next to me was offering me more than I could ever ask for. I never imagined that this green eyed beauty would even be my friend, but here, he always initiated all of our conversations. I had never received so much honest attention from a guy before. After we exchanged numbers, we found ourselves talking every night and eventually going out on dates. On Christmas Eve, he got down on one knee and handed me a small box.
