November 20, 2005, I found myself visiting a Dairy Queen in Seaford, Delaware. While I was there I observed some of the qualities and bad qualities about the restaurant. Some of the restaurants strong points were the building exterior and their employees. However there were more bad points than good ones. Such as the building interior and the cleanliness of there employees.
When arriving to the restaurant the ground was mostly clear of any loose debris other than leaves and some cigarette butts. I also noticed that the restaurant really didn't have any real decoration outside. This was not a problem though because the restaurant is next to a pond and that was scenic enough.
In addition to the exterior of the restaurant being clean, the personality of the workers was pretty impressive. They greeted you as soon as you were at the register with and smile despite the chocolate and other ice cream bits that were left on their red shirts and khaki pants. They were also quick in there service. To enforce this there was a timer that went off at the beginning and the end of service. On a regular business day they have about two people at the registers and one person preparing the orders. Although the employee's service was consistent their appearance was a turn-off to me as the customer. All of the employees had chocolate covered pants and ice cream stains on their shirts.
