Taking Notes
Write brief notes
Color coordinate topic and information
Review and edit notes after class
Study notes once you get leisure time
Use keywords and phrases in notes
Understand the material before you write notes
Leave space if you missed some notes on part of the material
Make sure your hand writing is legible
Type your notes to ensure you have a hard copy
Sit closer towards the speaker to hear the information clearer
Managing time and planning ahead
Figure out what time you are wasting by doing nothing
Get a planner/agenda
Set alarms for tasks/reminders
Set time limits for certain activities
Finish important tasks first
Block out any distractions
Take some time to plan your schedule before you being tasks
Get responsibilities completed before the due date
Write events and plans ahead of time in your planner/agenda
Use sticky notes for short reminders
Participating in class
Be focused in class discussion
Meet with study groups and instructor
Write down some ideas and questions you may need to be further explained
Engage in reading PowerPoint/notes during class
Be prepared for class
Help other students who may not understand a part of the material
Don’t be afraid to answer a question incorrectly

Speak once spoken to or allowed to have the Speaker position
