Research Paper About Guitar
For my senior project I chose guitar because it’s something I enjoy in my free time, I will be focusing how I managed to do community service at school in my guitar class. While playing my guitar in class I see my fellow classmates on their phones rather than playing guitar. I can see how people use their phones a lot but, we shouldn’t get to addicted to it, we shouldn’t allow technology to take over our minds. People would rather get guitar apps on their phones to play by the touch of the screen but then in reality, they don’t want to get to know the feeling of holding the guitar and playing it. I prefer people in general to install guitar apps instead of playing regular games or going on social media. I am now going to tell you how guitar helps your body and brain to be healthy and strong.
A new Scottish study says “if you play the guitar or any musical instrument, for that matter you’re more likely to have sharper brain function, which can help guard against mental decline in the future”. Stress can be reduced on a genomic level by playing an instrument, rocking out actually reverses your body’s response system to pressure. People who practiced music for more than 100 minutes a day showed a significant drop in blood pressure and a lower heart rate than those who didn’t. Musicians continue being creative even when they’re not playing their instruments. Researchers found that performers visualize music in terms of its shape, and then process that as a form of practice. Most don’t see it as such, but it’s a highly creative way of learning.
Listening to music can help us in number of ways, it can divert our mind from all our tensions and troubles. Those who have busy office schedules can ease their stress by listening to their favourite music and playing instruments they like. There are so many apps that one can use to cheer up the mind and mood. Pandora is one of them that provides a platform for the best music app that let you relax your mind and chill your mood. Playing an instrument seems to improve your health in a variety of ways. I play the guitar almost every day, and can confirm that playing music definitely relieves stress. And stress can be bad for your mental and physical health.
Playing any musical instrument confers an incredible benefits on the musician's brain. Basically, playing music lights up your brain like no other activity. It makes sense when you are playing music (or singing), you are using so many different brain areas, all at the same time. Having a creative outlet that allows you to express your feelings in a socially positive, non-destructive way is incredibly valuable to you and the people around you. Playing music is one of the best ways to do this. Even if you are playing a song written by someone else, the way you play it your interpretation is a unique expression of your emotions and creative perspective.
Music brings people together in all kinds of ways. Unlike many other arts, such as painting, sculpture, writing, or photography, music is a social art, usually you play or perform with or in front of other people. Although this is not required, it sure is fun! There's nothing quite like performing in front of an audience that truly enjoys the music you're playing, or the connection you feel. It makes all the hours of lonely practice worth it. Plus, think of all the times in your life that you've felt a song or a genre of music resonates with you, and connects you to a community of like minded listeners. Or even better, think of all the benefit concerts where people join together to share music they enjoy to make the world a little better. I know I've met literally hundreds of people that I never would have met otherwise if it wasn't for music and my guitar playing.
My mentor which is my guitar teacher Mr. Sharman helps out students doing class on any chords they have difficulties and he’s always there to help them out including myself. Some schools take out music because of the budget cuts as well as no money and that’s not fair. Kids in general in need music and art and basically electives to stay positive and to express themselves. As I mentioned earlier playing any instrument can help you in your hard times and it will make you feel a bit better.
