If I were given the opportunity to get a free ride through life I would not accept it. Life is either a daring adventure or dull and predictable. Challenges are a part of life, and they help us grow by pushing us into areas that are uncomfortable and new. Without challenges life would be boring. We would not learn or grow. I would not like to wake up every morning without plans or responsibilities. Without goals, there would be no accomplishment. Self-esteem comes from trying your hardest. I have a proud feeling when I accomplish what I set out to do.
There is no success without failure. Without failure how could I learn from my mistakes? Some people believe that winning the lottery would be the answer to everything. Financial security is not the answer to happiness. Given, it can make day-to-day life easier but won't add to your happiness and goals unless you create something positive with the money.
