Nonverbal Communication

I’m choosing to do my paper on one of my favorite television shows, “If Loving You is Wrong.” There are several characters this series that have crazy relationships so I don’t really know where to start. So I’ll attempt to stay on task and try to keep it with two only; which will be Brad and Alex.  Brad and Alex seemed to be the most normal characters at first when the show first aired however, that quickly changed when their true identity and devilish ways started showing.

Alex is a stay at home wife and Brad is an Accountant and Tax Agent. They both loved their kids and believed in spending a lot of time doing family things. Alex used to keep everything nice and tidy and she kept a red book that held dates and weird letter grades as well. I never understood why she needed a diary when she really didn’t have a life because she was a housewife and stay at home mom. Nevertheless, she did have a journal and come to find out she would keep some pretty steamy secrets in this book.

One day some new people moved next door named Marcia and Randall. Both couples immediately became friends hanging out spending a lot of time together.  Well, one night Alex was peeping out the window and she witnessed the new friends/neighbors having sex. She pretended to her husband this bothered her but deep down she enjoyed watching them. After Randall and Marcia were confronted about their acts they didn’t stop they continued because Randall could tell Alex was getting turned on by it. She started to feel awkward when she would get around Randall because he would make remarks and constantly give her sexual looks.

Well, One day Randall was out in his backyard working on his boat and Alex came to his yard and one thing lead to another and they were in the shed together.  This opened the door to a lengthy affair between the two. They had even started developing feelings for each other in a romantic way. Everything was good until Alex came up pregnant and that is when all the drama and turmoil started and everything started to fall apart dramatically in both houses.

In my Analysis, I think when the two couples first met each other that is when their relationship started the initiating stage. The reason I believe this is because Randall was vert attracted to Alex the first time he saw her. At first Alex was weirded out the she moved towards being attracted to physical appearance and his seductive ways. Randall showed himself to be a good guy just a very sexual, seductive, alluring individual.
