I. Ad blurb /Introduction
Born of an ancient family of clairvoyants, Marley Millet finds that her psychic gift is both unsettling and incredibly dangerous. She never wants to “travel” again---but the choice is not hers to make.
After glimpsing the fates of two missing New Orleans jazz singers, Marley knows she has no choice and must speak up before more women disappear. Flinty cop-turned-writer Gray Fisher, who interviewed both chanteuses before they vanished, takes a special interest in Marley’s incredible story ---and in Marley.
Scouring the wild clubs of the French Quarter, Marley and Gray make an unlikely and uneasy team. But their determination is matched only by the heat between them…and the evil they have uncovered.
This novel initially led by the Millets, several families with extraordinary paranormal powers are drawn into a struggle to save New Orleans—and themselves---from the hated Embran, a race intent on setting up their own twisted domain in which humans would become their slaves. The families are gifted with different talents, perhaps the ability to be invisible, or to find through dreams, or by the patterns they leave in their wake, but the Millets and their friends have one one thing in common—they could be anyone you meet on the street. They are “normal” on the outside. Descended from a long line of psychics, Marley Millet has been seeing terrifying visions of young women being tortured and killed by an Embran, an underworld creature with a grudge against Marley ancestors. Marley turns to the police for help, but no one believes her except Gray Fisher, a retired cop turned journalist who interviewed many of the victims. Gray soon finds that working with Marley awakens his talent psychic powers as well smoldering attraction to his crime-solving partner.
When I’m searching on the novel that I want to read I searching for the best one. The novel who can catch my attention, feels any excitement and not boring. I chose this novel “ Out of Body “ by Stella Cameron because she’s a writer who write about A court of Angels Novel were it is a Romantic Suspense. Unlike in any other novel that pure on Romantic scenes although it had a thrill when you read but for me the best novel to read are something different. Publishers Weekly gave OUT OF BODY a starred review and called the book “compulsively readable”. Cameron compelling develops the sexy, bold protagonist and Marley’s charming family as she strikes the perfect balance of action, sassy dialogue, and steamy love scenes: never excessive, just enough to leave readers wanting more.
The author was a New York Times bestselling, prize-winning author of more than sixty novels. She is a recipient of the pacific Northwest Award for Literary Achievement. Not really confused why her novel are the best one to read and won for so much many achievements.
I get this book from the best book to find which is Book Sale although they sell any novel that is much interesting to the book that I found but I can’t explain why I much I like it. It’s very affordable because I buy it costing of 49.00 only. And it much understandable to read even though they partly have a chapter that you can’t easily to understand because of the unfamiliar word that the author use but it’s really exciting to read.
