Teen Stress Stress is a difficulty for every person from males to females and especially teens. It is typically caused by something that is out of the ordinary from everyday life effects like, loss of a job, family problems, and tests. The stress created by these things also tends to create other problems like, headaches, high blood pressure, and depression. These types of troubles have a tendency to make teens what I call stress out. Stress seems to create a lot of problems but the latest studies have shown that it doesn't create as many problems as it was once thought too.
Another stress related issue is school. School stress is one the main cause for teenage dropouts in today’s schools. This thought in the teens mind to dropout can be caused by them being pushed to hard by their parents, teachers, or for some a lot is expected of them. It can also be caused by them doing so badly in school they gave up all hope of them doing something worthwhile with their lives or it could be caused by them just not living up to their own standards. This is why they need to focus on controlling their stress.
Stress has been with man since they were created and is also recognized as an inherited trait. When stressed the body releases hormones that trigger the body’s defenses, substances like endorphins and other morphine resembling substances are secreted from the brain during physical and emotional stress. These substances are usually considered good for the body because they diminish pain and anxiety; they also regulate appetites, temperature, and intestinal functions. The problem is that when extremely elevated levels of these endorphins are within your body they are capable of leading to negative changes. These negative changes to a teen that already has a hard and confusing time with life will make them choose the wrong decisions at that time.
During the teen age teens think they need to take responsibility and help others with stress. This causes them to stress when they need to just focus on empting their own stress out. Also teens try to eliminate stress by avoiding it when this just causes more. Teens need to try and take on stress a little at a time. They need to deal with the little things first then take on the big problems that cause the most stress. I say this because a person that is skilled
