Jesus Loves Me Song Analysis

I chose the song “Jesus Loves” me by Anna B. Warner. This song was sang to me, as a lullaby, when I was a little girl around the age of five years old. I remember my mom would sing this song to me every night before I went to bed or she would sing it to me when I felt sad and it would cheer me up. As a little girl I did not fully understand the lyrics and the meaning of the song, but I knew it comforted me to hear my moms’ voice sing it to me. I believe my mom caught on that I liked the song because I remember one day walking into my room and finding a book laying on my bed.This book had the lyrics to the song “Jesus Loves Me” and it also had a button you could press that sang it. Now that I’m older I realize the song gives off an inspirational meaning and it gives off a reminder of who Jesus is, how he can help us and how much he loves each and every one of us everyday. The song’s first stanza starts off by saying ,“Jesus loves me! This I know, For the Bible tells me so; Little ones to Him belong,They are weak but He is strong”. This reveals the bible is one of the key sources we can go by to understand Jesus’s love for us. We are taught that everything we want to know is placed inside the bible. It also recognizes that we all are his children and we belong to him. It reminds us that we are human, and because we are human we can become weak, weather it is physical or mental weakness. We are reminded that Jesus Christ is strong and he can give us strength in whatever we need. The song’s second stanza then continues with “Jesus loves me!
