Sacred Mystery

A profane moment is defined as something that is ordinary, something that happens almost everyday and it’s nothing special but why is it not special? Everything in life is special but we don’t consider it to be special because we take it for granted. Something that is sacred means that is unique, special, out of the ordinary but what if we take the meaning out of something ordinary or profane, does it make the moment sacred. I don’t think that it takes something out of the ordinary to be special but it takes a great meaning for some thing to be special or sacred. I believe that there is no such thing as a profane moment but I didn’t always think that. There was one moment in my life, my eyes were open and everything started to make sense. This day took place a long time ago and it was like any other, that day was like any other but later that night something happened.

My story starts out on a day that was like any other, I went out in the morning and checked in when ever I was hungry and my parents knew they wouldn’t see me till a couple hours after sun down. I was just riding my bike around with my friends doing what ever came to our minds. This day was nothing out of the ordinary but one thing we didn’t know was that there was a storm coming. At this time I was still confused buy a lot of stuff if there is one thing that confusion can create its fear. Well like all days it came to an end and the storm had come. From where we were my house was far away and everybody else lived in the opposite direction that I did so this ride was all on my own. This night was a test of will and I was not ready to take it but like any other test, I ran straight for it. This was the darkest night I have ever experienced and fear had brought me to a state of panic but at the time I couldn’t I think of nothing but the things that could go wrong. The black night through down bolts of lightning this was followed by the loudest thunder that made the ground shake. The rain didn’t cooperate with my bike and parts of it started to fail like the brakes and the chain was not working to the best of its ability.
