INTRODUCTION        

According to Yacizi statement on 2010, we know that the research in J8 was on the relevant effect of factors and persons in college major choice in Turkey. Since the early 1960s, majority of context of the US educational system, few research have been done to develop models that uncover issue of importance in process of decision making. Plenty selection and placement system was affecting their choice. The choice of their major which will lead them to different pathway in the future.  In this research, the aim is to study the causes of influencing students’ selection of a major and the relevant impact of the person who had role-playing in this research.

The research in J11 is to study the affecting issues in choosing a university and further study program among Malaysian matriculation students at 2010, was conducted by Norbahiah. In previous research we know that the matriculation student current trend on choosing their future pathway while pursuing further studies. As we can see on the data, students who enrolled in engineering field in the FEBE was keep decreasing gradually year by year. The raises engaging problems on how students decides in a university and course program especially for the students registered in engineering programs. There is a need to know the certain level of conditions and impacting issues in selecting major.

For the research in J27, the study conducted by Abbas et al on 2007 is to know more about the truth behind the students’ choice toward accounting major. During 90 centuries, a study conducted by many professional accounting companies. For more than two decades, the amount of students gaining bachelors and master degrees in accounting averaged around 60,000 annually. However, the number of accounting degrees decrease drastically to 47,600, which meant a decrease of 20 percent from 1995-1996. Starting in 20 centuries, this downward trend seems to have a turnover situation. Accounting now be a priority choice of major college student due to high demand. This research is about to explores the issues that influence a student’s choice of major along students’ perceptions of accounting classes and the accounting profession.

LITERATURE REVIEW

One of the common factors affecting the J8, J11, J27 is personality type and the interest toward the selection course. Whether the personality suit to the occupation in the future or whether greatest satisfaction gain from job. (aloise et al 2003). Some of the students have no determination in certain course, if they forced to take it by other they will surely end up with nothing because they will quit easily when they face difficulty in their learning pathway.

Besides that, gender difference is also the concerned in the research result, male students more fond of science and engineering field and female more to business and accounting field.

 Based on the theory from (trusty, 2002, turner et al, 2009 and cohen et al, 1993), previous experience and foundation in accounting field is also an quite affecting reason to student, many students state out that accounting was too quantitative and boring due to they have no any basis in their high school, as the saying goes, Rome was not built in a single of day.

Apart from that, the starting salaries aim by the students is also consider as one of the main reason of their choice. Some of the students expect to get higher paid than other field like business and engineering, (duffy et al,2011). On the statement of Mustapha and long on 2009 they concluded that the external such as lack encouragement from family members, friends, teachers and also surrounding could lead to their giving up choice to their major.

External factor from family, teachers, buddies and environment share by J11 and J27, encouragement could be the key to wake their truly potential and enthusiasm toward their learning and needless to say student will be happy and enjoy if they acknowledged by other. This shows that younger generation has their own thought and they don’t like to do what they don’t like, and they believe their potential will be arouse once they expose on what they really like to do. Experience and lesson learnt is much more important than the wage paid by the employer.
