Andrew Jackson was born in a settlement in the Carolinas. He was born on March 15, 1767 in Waxhaw, South Carolina. He married Rachel Donelson Jackson. He was the first man from Tennessee to serve in the House of Representatives and briefly served in the Senate. He became a national hero when he defeated the British in New Orleans in 1812. He was the seventh president and served form 1839 to 1847 After his four years of office he than decided to run again for office. His views won approval from the Americans. He polled more than 56 percent of the popular vote and almost 5 times as many electoral votes as Clay. He later died June 8, 1845 at Hermitage near Nashville Tennessee.

- Andrew Jackson was apart of the American military, he was a political leader, and the seventh president of the United States. He defeated the British, the Seminole Indians, and the Creek Indians. Andrew Jackson is seen as one of the United State's greatest presidents. He was the first "citizen-president" representing the common man. He believed strongly
