I have learned a lot of things in D.A.R.E. that will be and are useful to me. For example, I learned that smoking kills people even if they’re not the ones smoking. Beer, wine, and liquor all contain about the same amount of alcohol, which can lead to loss of coordination, slowed reflexes, loss of self-control, memory lapses, slurred speech and a lot more. I think that D.A.R.E. program is a spectacular way to teach children about the dangers of doing illegal and inappropriate things. D.A.R.E. has helped me learn about all the dangers of doing such things.
I have learned that when you are around friends who are doing something wrong then you’ll get some of the blame. I never knew there was a way to cope with peer pressure and all my problems until my D.A.R.E. officer told me about taking charge. Taking charge is when you A. avoid the situation B. hang around good friend’s C. walk away and D. ignore the person.
