Too large of a percentage of Americans in this day eat unhealthy, and don’t bother to think seriously about the effects of a non-athletic lifestyle. Over the past century a lot has changed about the way humans live. Technology has pushed us forward in many good ways. In fact now we are able to learn a lot more about the human body and what it needs to function at its best. But our daily lives have developed into a much more domesticated form of work. Most of us do not work on a farm or with machinery these days. It is much more common to see people in offices sitting in front of a computer all day. There are ways, however, to fit exercise and health into our busy lives.
Exercising gives you time to blow off your steam. So after a long day crammed in your cubicle, kick boxing or running can help you release some of the built up tension and stress by focusing in on the workout. The exercise lessons your risk of becoming depressed or having anxiety. 30 minutes every other day of moderate exercise is enough to greatly improve your health. This is only a small portion of your day if you really think about it. I’ve found that being active provides the energy I need to motivate myself to be more organized. Spending my time wisely actually allows for time to exercise. Its like a cycle. Even brisk walking throughout the week can get you going on a healthy path. Even children’s lives have changed over time. Video games and computers are a problem. Less than one hundred years ago children were up early, out doing chores, and on their spare time were more likely to be found fishing or building forts than children are today. Sports are sometimes the greatest solution to preventing childhood obesity. Even family outings or bike rides help. Research shows that if you are physical throughout your life, your body will last longer and be in better condition as it ages. This is only confidently so if nutrition is also a large part of your life.
