People and government do not have a moral obligation to help those businesses or people who do not have the qualities to succeed. The moral obligation of people is to the betterment of society in a technological and sociological standpoint. The most important objective of human society is to advance the ideas and knowledge of humans. Therefore, the most important thing the government can do is to provide a healthy environment for this advancement. The government can do this by setting down a basic set of ground rules so that there is healthy competition between businesses and people that force people and businesses to advance themselves in order to thrive in society.

People should not be given things they do not deserve. In a laissez-faire society in order to earn a position of respect and standing one must earn it. Of course there are always the counter arguments of people being born into wealth and therefore born into power. However no one is simply born a doctor, lawyer, teacher, or architect. These are all jobs that one must work hard to succeed in obtaining their goal. For those who say it is unfair because some people don’t have the intelligence or ability to become one of these things. That is why there is the opportunity in the united states to own a business or do some other kind of work that does not require a particular skill. This road is much more risky, but those who do not have the skills to become a doctor need to take
