Lightning Rally In Front of U.S. Embassy

This happened at about 5:45 AM, members of the militant groups disguised as joggers staged a Lightning Rally in front of U.S. Embassy along Roxas Boulevard, Ermita, Manila demanding the end to Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA). They were blocked by a number of Station 5 personnel, a clash ensued and the militants threw stones and paint bombs at the personnel as well as the embassy gate. The windshield of Mobile Patrol Car 338 was broken when it was hit by a stone. The militants were eventually pushed back when other members of station 5, DPSB personnel and SWAT Team reinforced them and subsequently arrested six protesters namely (1) Teddy James Chico Angeles, (2) Gerardo Pagdanganan Gaddi, (3) Orion Mallari Yoshida, (4) Aries David Gupit, (5) Gem Aramil Cataag and (6) Karl Paulie Escudero Araneta. They were brought to GAIS for proper disposition.

After the incident, this Station secured CCTV footages from the Regional Security Office (RSO), U.S. Embassy to support the investigation relative to the filing of charges
