BANNING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION RESTRICTION
The Restriction
HR 4437: bill introduced in December of 2005 that will convert any illegal immigrant into a criminal & anyone aiding them in any way a criminal as well. It also has a plan to build a fence along the border of the US and Mexico.
FACTS: Published by the Cato Institute and the National Immigration Forum
o More than half of illegal aliens enter legally and overstay their visas and permits.
o First- and second-generation immigrants usually do well in school.
o They don’t take jobs. They make jobs. Recent respected studies prove that there is no empirical evidence documenting that the immigrants are taking jobs. The explanation is that though they require jobs they also make jobs. The jobs they create with their purchasing power and with the new businesses which they start are much more valuable.
o Undocumented immigrants pay about 46 percent as much in taxes as do
American Citizens, but use about 45 percent as much in services.

They were not asked if they wanted to come, they just came. So what fault do they have? And if you ask their parents- they will simply say they wanted a better education and life for their kids.
o It is not fair that undocumented immigrants are treated as “second-class citizens”. They are stripped of their identity, their right to education,
