Technology is all around us and has shaped us in many ways, from the postal mail to email, the telegraph to cell phones, communication has been shaped by technology advances for over a hundred years. Within the last twenty years technology advances have introduced new tools that allow people, businesses and nations to be connected instantaneously. With this instant connection, it opens up many opportunities for people around the world. As the technology advances it begin to make things like meeting people, sharing videos, sharing ideas, sharing feelings, and sharing images. Twenty years from now will be totally different as there is already a rapid growth of technology, we will begin to see the use of virtual reality and interacting to people through a virtual world rather than in person. Life twenty year from now would widen the communication abilities between friends, family, or lovers.
This idea of virtual reality is the computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with. It can be interacted with by a real or physical way by a person using special electronic equipment, such as a helmet with a screen inside or gloves fitted with sensors. Virtual reality can take you anywhere you want to go in virtual aspect of it. As an example, if you have a friend or a loved one across the world you will be able to travel to their house or both of you will be able to travel together anywhere in the world. This is so-called a virtual hangout or a virtual date, and things such as this are beginning to become more and more realistic as our technology advances. These virtual hangouts or virtual dating we will see more people with virtual reality glasses on their heads trying to be somewhere that they’re not. There has already been some prototypes of virtual reality such as oculus rift. Some pros of virtual of reality is the ability to communicate with anyone at anytime and anywhere

With technology advancing, the world will change drastically. Not only will it change the way humans interact, it will change the way they date. Today in society many people use apps or websites to match with one another, but some people still use the traditional way of face to face interaction. Online dating is a system that enables strangers to find and introduce themselves to new personal connections over the Internet, usually with the goal of developing personal, romantic, or sexual relationships. An online dating service is a company that provides specific mechanisms for online dating through the use of Internet-connected personal computers or mobile devices. However, with new technology forming, there will different way to match with each other. Sites will use DNA matching, technology to monitor heart rate, dating devices, time's eye contact is made, virtual reality dating, and even robots. With these aspects of technology, online dating will will be more efficient and faster in trying to find the perfect match, although there will be this sense of fakeness as there will be tons of asstantance apps.
How the apps will change
As years progressed, dating websites were first created and then dating apps were created as technology has advanced into smart phones. Some of the dating apps that have been created are eHarmony, tinder, match.com, and Zoosk. The app of tinder created up to 20 billion matches to this day, and would consider itself as a sort of wingman. The easy ability to just swipe right to like someone based on a picture of the other individual or swipe left to pass. Many people liked using this app but, had trouble building a profile, and about one-in-five online daters have asked someone else to help them with their profile. Dating apps have opened to a wide variety of people from young teens to elders. As of now the average of 400 questions are asked about an individual about their personality and what they like. In the near future these apps and websites will begin to access more and more about one’s life, interests, hobbies, goals, favorite things, thought process, grades in classes, places they’ve been, DNA samples and etc.
