I. Abstract: “PeopleSoft is the world’s leading provider of collaborative

enterprise software, delivering solutions to more than 4,700 organizations in 107 countries. It has over 80 site locations and 90 buildings in 28 countries, housing over 8,700 employees in more than 2.5 million square feet.” (http://www.centerstonesoft.com/PDF/PeopleSoft_Story.pdf) Peoplesoft is a valuable tool for the workplace. It can be used for many different areas of corporations. It combines human resources, marketing, purchasing, and other areas. It has many benefits in the workplace. Once employees are trained it will be a valuable asset for all. “One of the more popular Enterprise applications is PeopleSoft. There are others like SAP, Oracle and Microsoft. These companies are known for their Enterprise Resource Planning applications and eBusiness applications. What is Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP? ERP is a “business management system that integrates all facets of the business, including planning, manufacturing, sales and marketing. As the ERP methodology has become more popular, software applications have emerged to help business managers implement ERP in business activities such as inventory

II. Purpose of Report: To educate the executive committee of Checkfree on the benefits of implementing Peoplesoft. “PeopleSoft EPM offers performance management solutions for every budget and every phase of the management cycle, helping managers formulate strategies for profitable growth, align strategies with operational plans, actively monitor day-to-day operations, and collaborate across the enterprise. III. Background of topic:

There has been discussion of implementing a new software system in our corporation in order to cut cost. Is this the solution? I believe it would be smarter and more cost efficient to better utilize the software system that we currently use. That system is peoplesoft. “What is PeopleSoft? Peoplesoft is designed as a server-centric architecture in a purely Internet environment. It is a server that stores all of the application data as well as validation rules. Peoplesoft is accessed by logging into a standard web browser as if it were a favorite website. Peoplesoft can be used in many departments such as payroll, human resources, and training and education. The cost to train employees will be low because there are many employees already trained on this software. We already pay for the software so cost will be minimal for software. It is my belief that
