An Assessment of My Technical Writing Competence
As I evaluate my technical writing skills I first explore the vast detail and design of the spreadsheet software. The level of skill that I posses with the spreadsheet software is measured by my strengths and weaknesses and why I believe that this skill is important in the communication environment.
The attached document demonstrates several key skills of spreadsheet software such as the standard toolbar functions - opening, closing, and saving. In addition, the document illustrates my ability to use the adding and subtracting functions in the software which is a key skill in organizing and designing spreadsheets that incorporate large numbers. For example, it has helped in my career by allowing me to keep an electronic document that tracks the amount of money spent and the amount remaining on large contracts. Other skills demonstrated in the attachment are moving through cells, rows, and columns, resizing rows and columns, selecting cells, moving and copying cells. Strengths that I have that are not demonstrated in the attachment are my abilities to incorporate several sheets and charts into one workbook, freezing panes and page properties and printing documents.
