Willis Haviland Carrier invented the first air conditioner in 1902. This was designed to boost the working process control in a printing plant. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers was given Willis CarrierЎЗs formula for the Rational Psychrometric Formulae. The Carrier Engineering Corporation was formed in 1915.
