A Christmas Carol
This story is about a mean old man named Ebenezer Scrooge. Mr. Scrooge does not care about anyone but himself, he has a clerk named Bob Cratchit and he runs all over him. Mr. Cratchit is always cold because Mr. Scrooge will not spend any money on coal to heat the place up. So Mr. Crathit is extremely cold each and every day. This does not faze Mr. Scrooge at all. Why? Because he does not care.
Throughout the story there are conversations going on through the town about a Christmas party. Mr. Scrooge is invited to this Christmas party by his nephew, Fred. Fred comes to visit his uncle and tells him about this Christmas party. This was a big mistake because Mr. Scrooge could care less about this party, so Mr. Scrooge bad mouths this party and acts me to holiday visitors as well. This affected Fred very much to see that his uncle would react to such a great holiday this way.
So while Mr. Scrooge is in his apartment a ghost appears to him. Apparently this ghost was Mr. Scrooge's partner Jacob Marley. Marley was disappointed in Scrooges behavior and had to teach him a lesson. The reason for Marley's visit is to save Scrooge from sharing the same fate. Marley tells Scrooge that there will be three spirits that are going to visit him for the next three nights to come; each spirit will show Scrooge different things. This shocked Mr. Scrooge and he passed out into a deep sleep.
As soon as Mr. Scrooge awakes, appears the "Ghost of Christmas Past". This character was explained to be a strange childlike phantom. The ghost of Christmas past shows Scrooge previous Christmases from early years, Scrooge and the ghost of Christmas past watch Scrooge's childhood school days, his apprenticeship, and his engagement to his old woman Belle. Belle left Scrooge because of his lust for money, his lust for money was so strong that it was hard for him to love Belle and this is why she left him, Belle could not deal with it anymore. Going back to these days changed Scrooges hear deeply and he starts to shed tears, he cries
