A Friend Who Changed My Life
A year into my high school career, I met a person who to this day has had a large effect on me, my personality, and my outlook on life. It was only after her recent departure from South Africa that I realized exactly what a big part of my life she was, and now I understand how it feels to lose a wonderful person, and an amazing friend.
Early every morning she was there, waiting for me. We always greeted with a wide smile, the use of words not necessary to express just how happy we were to have another day in each other’s company. There was never a dull moment around her, and our conversations were always humorous and interesting. She was a person I could turn to in a boring Maths lesson, and the person I could talk to when I felt like the whole world was collapsing around me.
She was one in a million. The memories we share will stay with me forever. Her shy, warming smile, the twinkle in her eyes, her amazing personality, her beautiful singing voice… I miss it all. I will
