he story begins in media rest. The narrator who is one of the townsfolk describe miss Emily's funeral which was attended by some people curious about it. The narrator then uses flashback to take into consideration Miss Emily's life before she died and what has transpired before her lover disappeared. The narrator introduces Emil's father as a manipulator who wants what he thinks is best for his daughter to the extent of depriving Emily of a lover. Years passed and her father died. She denied his death for three days and when she broke down the people buried her father quickly.Miss Emily was not seen in years and when she was next seen,her hair was cut short making her look younger. This was the time Homer Barron a day laborer and a northerner came to town. Eventually, people saw them together often after church. This created an issue of morality to the people so they decided to call some of Emily's relatives to look
