Sebastian LaCerva woke up tired and hurting from the back pains he had for a few weeks now. They began affecting him about three weeks before his 43rd birthday party. The doctor explained to him there was no physical problem with his back, Sebastian's psychiatrist told him a secret or a even major worry can carry a heavy mental load sometimes, the pain could all be in his head.
June 29th, 1999
Sebastian LaCerva was on his way to work shortly after waking up late that morning. There was an uneasy settling in his stomach after he left the house, and he knew it wasn't the breakfast he ate.
Sebastian kissed his daughter Kimberley and gave his son Gavin some money for lunch. Jennifer his wife was still resting in bed when he left. The father of two knew exactly what he was walking in to when he entered that fifty-two floor building as he got to work. But it was already to late for it to be changed.
Sebastian was the fifty-one percent owner of a multi-million dollar computer technology company called Larvis Lacerva Software. His father founded the company and when he past, he left 51% ownership to his son Sebastian. The other 49% went to seven board members far older than Sebastian that have been there much longer than Sebastian as well. They thought they would have got the company after Larvis died.
Sebastian was in charge of corporate decision making and even larger ideas. The new millennium was coming soon, and things were changing, but they weren't for the best. He knew a great deal of money had to be invested for future technology advancement because of the myth of this Y2K virus expected to ruin years work and having a good name amongst the public customers.
