Essay title: Ages in History
Civilization has evolved from close to nothing. It started with the Paleolithic Age and then the Neolithic Age. The Paleolithic Age consisted of the hunters and gathers while the Neolithic Age consisted of the food growing cultures. With the hunting and gathering culture the males did the hunting while the females gathered fruits, vegetables, grains, and raised the children. By not cooperating with food gathering and the hunting part of life you were most likely going to die because nobody would help you if you didn't help them. In the food growing culture people were able to domesticate animals and farm their vegetables, fruits and grain. This made life a lot easier because people didn't have search for their food, they could simply just go to the farm or market.
Now the tools used during these ages where completely different. The Paleolithic Age involved sticks,bones, and stones while the Neolithic Age involved the use of bronze to make swords, spear tips, knives, and armor. This made it easier for people to hunt because there wasn't a need to constantly make a new spear or knife, you could simply sharpen the metal and keep on hunting. By improving our pottery and baskets we were able to store our food for periods of time.
The Neolithic Age also brought on the idea government which consisted of leaders and advisors. The use of a government was needed in order to keep all or its people in order. Also ownership of land, and warfare came about at this time. When ownership of land came into play it introduced warfare because people would fight over land and empires. Without warfare we would not have evolved as quickly as we did. Think about it, you are constantly trying to improve you chances of winning the war by making your technology superior to the others. The Neolithic Age brought on so many good things but at the same time it brought death and destruction.
There are very few similarities but they included the need for food, language, tools, the use of gods, use of fire, and housing. The hunters and food gathers made there homes
