All Talk No Action

Global Warming is just getting worst day by day and those who call themselves activists just throw speeches around-without any influence. We have to take action - if the Earth’s surface temperature raises by more than 2˚C this year, drastic changes will occur all over the world.

Those who want to do some never do anything. For the past decade Global Warming has become the main problem that our world is facing.

Why us then? For all those that say little changes will create huge impacts on the world, guess what, they’re not working. Little change made by the minorities will have little impact on global warming - simple mathematics.

Recycling and the use of renewable energy are some ways of fighting global warming. The promotion of public transportation is indeed a good idea, yet, not everyone will use the bus and metro system to go from points A to points B.

Not only are the people living on this planet who aren’t taking action, but the Canadian government as well. The Harper government continuously makes promises to reduce green house gases yet, the War in Afghanistan seems to grab all the attention. Which is more important a war that a handful of countries are involved in our a problem in which the whole world is facing?

Priorities and ideas must be be rearranged if we truly want to change the situation we’re in. Comfort and luxury are for the people living in the past. Life can be enjoyed without the use of air conditioning, and abusing energy. The present is for all those acting out and trying to resolve the problem.
