Alzheimer’s was first discovered by Dr. Alois Alzheimer in 1906. When he was examining a deceased women’s brain he noticed it looked different from a normal brain. When Alzheimer’s was first discovered no one knew the cause of it. But as technology has improved we now know. Alzheimer’s is caused by the loss of brain cells and changes in the outer layer of the brain. It is also caused by tangled fibers and plaques in the brain. That is a brief history and the cause of Alzheimer’s .

There are many signs that may show that you have Alzheimer’s . Many people confuse regular aging and Alzheimer’s, but there are many differences between the two. In Alzheimer’s you start to have memory loss. You might tend to forget information often. Another symptom of Alzheimer’s is you forget how to do familiar task. An example of that is you might forget how to play a board game. People with Alzheimer’s might also forget where they are at. If they were walking around their neighborhood they might forget where there house is. Alzheimer’s patients might also misplace things. They might put toilet paper in the refrigerator. Those are a few symptoms of how you could tell if a person has Alzheimer’s.
