American Government As I See It

The American government as I see it has come leaps and bounds, and now is one of the strongest if not the strongest of all governments in the world. While the people within the government are flawed, it is the system it’s self that works with such beautiful symmetry. In its purest essence the United States government with it’s three branches the Judicial, Legislative, and the Executive, works with the perfect balance of give and take through the system of checks and balances.

The Judicial form the outside looks like the weakest branch of government. I mean from the times of Andrew Jackson there has been some worry as to the strength of the Judiciary, but now it becomes more apparent as to the real power of the Judiciary. The Judicial branch not only determines the constitutionality of laws, but it also sets legal precedent for courts all over the nation. The one flaw that I really see with the Judiciary is that they are not elected by the people, so therefore they really have no ties to serve the people they can often be guilty of serving those who put them in power. Once again it is the people who corrupt the system, not the system itself.

The legislative branch, makes the laws, and has the power to impeach the president. The legislative branch is composed of the House of Representatives, and the senate. Now it is here where the bills become laws. This group is the one where the most corruption happens in my opinion. The reason for this is lobbyist who will pay the congress men sometimes million of dollars to vote, or swing
