Instituting basic reforms such as improving the economy and starting education earlier are crucial in eliminating terrorism in Iraq. By improving the economy less people will turn to terrorism to support their families. Many Iraqi citizens feel like there is no way out of poverty other then smuggling weapons into the country, or other acts of terrorism (The Despair Beneath the Arab World’s Growing Rage). Also, the United States assisting Iraq in rebuilding their economy could put these nations on better terms. Stimulating the economy will provide more jobs for people, and raise the income of many families. This will make people feel more secure about their lifestyle. They will not be persuaded into supporting a corrupt leader promising to make things better for them if they can support their families on their own.
