Essay title: Captial Punishment
Should the U.S. continue to use capital punishment? I believe that the capital punishment should be fitting to the crime, for example if someone premeditates and takes a life, it should be a life for a life. I believe that a person’s life is more valuable then any amount of money and the pain of losing a loved one is more unbearable. On the other hand I feel that the judicial system needs to be updated or changed because these criminal’s can live off of the tax payers money for years getting free room and board and also having the chance to get an education. They also get entertainment such as TV, reading materials, and they also get free food three times a day. To me this makes no sense why is our correctional system rewarding these criminals the luxuries they do not deserve. The time period that some people spend on death row is exhausting every resource imaginable causing the process to slow down just to save there life, while they show no remorse about the life they took. I feel that there should be a dead line for an appeal so that a person that is innocent can prove there case and be acquitted of the crimes that they where charged with. I am not trying to come off as harsh I just do not understand why people that commit such vile crimes get a free ride through life until that is taken while we still have people on the streets who have not done crimes, but have to struggle through life searching trash
