Essay title: Cedar Point

Cedar Point

Imagine a place where there are, what it seems like, an unlimited number of roller coasters, endless amounts of delicious snacks, and plenty of eye catching souvenirs. This is a place many tourists from all over the United States and even the world visit during the Summer time to relax and have fun. Can you guess the place I am describing? If you said Cedar Point, then you are correct.

My friends and I decided to venture to this excellent theme park last weekend and we had a great time. I could see the Millennium Force and the Top Thrill Dragster from miles away as we approached the park. From the moment you drive into the parking lot, you can feel the excitement and intensity build. The parking lot was packed to the brim with many different people, from young to old, waiting to embark upon the adventures in front of them. There were many people dressed as witches, mummies, corpses, and vampires for Halloweekends in celebration of Halloween. As we entered into the park, I could already smell the fresh elephant ears waiting to be eaten. The aroma of sweet cotton candy was also present in the air.

We walked toward the Wicked Twister and we were amazed at the long and stagnant line that stood in front of us. The wait was about an hour and a half, but we decided to stand in line anyway. As we finally approached the platform of the ride, I began to feel goose bumps all over.

As I strapped on my safety belt, I could feel the anticipation and excitement build. The ride blasted off without hesitation, as we twisted and sped on the green and yellow track, my body moving in every direction. From there we moved to the Power Tower, a 300 foot steel structure with four beams that reach the ground to support the tower. One side of the tower launches you up 300 feet and the other drops you from that height, we chose the latter. The ascent to the top seems like it takes forever, as the anticipation builds. Once the cart reaches the top, you wait in fear and excitement for the ride to plummet 300 feet in a matter of seconds. I could still feel the adrenaline in my body even after the ride was over.

As night fell on the park, I could see all of the roller coasters
