Essay title: College Admissions Essay

Selecting the perfect college is a lot like trying to find a good friend. I met a really smart guy named Harvey who lives in Boston, a California kid named Stan and even a guy named George who bleeds a thing called Hoya Blue. But after searching through this playground of possibilities, I may have found a best friend named Penn.

The first thing that drew us together was our passion for business. Friends must always have something in common, and business has been the biggest passion in my life for the past four years. Even though Penn--having 125 years under his belt--is a bit more experienced, we can still teach each other many new things. The Wharton School of Business is world renowned for creating some of the best minds in the business field. I, too, would like to join those ranks. The infamous curve used in upper level Wharton classes both intrigues and excites me. Although some people would look at this feature as superfluous and unfair, I look at it as a challenge. Competition is the fuel that drives successful business people, and I am no different. This competitive atmosphere mixed with the brilliant minds of my peers would push me to do my best work and ultimately get the most from my education at Penn.

But having no differences can make the friendship rather dull. This is no problem for Penn because of the many diverse characteristics he possesses. From the international student body that represents countries across the globe to the numerous student organizations Penn possesses, Penn is always willing to try new things. The myriad of opportunities available are something that can only be offered by an institution like Penn. I would cherish the chance to take up a game with the Penn Badminton Club or even join the staff of The Daily Pennsylvanian.

Even though we have never met, the internet has offered me a great view of what Penn is like. From the warm autumn colors of the leaves of Locust Walk to the hustle and bustle of downtown Philly, every feature of Penn's campus works together to foster a comfortable
