The Lower Marion Issue
The Lower Marion school district has been caught giving unfair education to its students. In an article that was read a class observed a glimpse in the lower Marion school district. The school has only 9 percent of black students in the entire class. Articles state that one single class has a 90 percent amount of black students. People seem to think that something wrong is going on inside the district. Students are not able to receive the right information that they need to succeed in the world. School and education are privileges that are being taken away from a body of students. Something needs top happen within this area.
The Lower Marion school district has taken advanced education away from students. The Lower Marion School District has been confronted by the students’ parents about the whole situation. The District counsel or whoever handles these types of complaints is giving no return. This situation is basically self explanatory to people of color, it has happen to many of us before. This type of situation has built the standards for minorities. An EDU 100 teacher once said “There’s an invisible ceiling above our heads”.
Secondly, Lower Marion should give the proper knowledge to all students not just some of them. The situation at hand tells us a lot. It reminds the students at Lower Marion high school that Kobe Bryant didn’t have this problem, and why should they? They are probably thinking that if they had a nice athletic talent that maybe it would be easier for them to succeed. Maybe they would be able to take the same classes that the other 91 percent takes. Black students should not be categorized at all. They should not be categorized because black people are very important to the education system and the world.
Although Lower Marion is a good school, what is the use of attending high school without being able to advance? Advancing after high school is a big part of life for everyone. This tells a person that they can be something one day. College is the next step after graduating high school. One of the students tat attended Lower Marion High School was told that he could not attend a college or institution, because of his lack of knowledge. That was disgraceful to him and to his grandparents. They were concerned that their child was not given the right classes to succeed in life. Imagine being limited to the education that you can receive from a good school. A thing like that can damage a whole career or future career of a student.
Finally, the Lower Merion school district has been caught giving unfair education to its students. In an article that was read an English 100 class at Lincoln University observed this mishap. In this case, students are not able to receive the proper knowledge that they may receive in their brains. School’s are privileges to attend and are also helpful when you attend a good and serious one.
