Country Music

Country music is a unique and traditional type of music. It combines many different genres, and it blends them all into one great genre. Country music takes beats of rock and roll, it takes the soul of the good ole drinking music, and it takes the heart of old gospel. Although many people are disgusted by it, country music is one of the most complex genres of music today. Country is defined by its artists and the way they live their lives. The legendary artists of country music have been and always will be revered as greats in the world, most of which were the outlaws that many artists model themselves after today. Country music's history starts in the early 1900s, its tradition continues hard and strong today, and along with its unique style will be around for along time to come.

The history of country music began with the earliest southerners getting together and making melodies of good ole southern gospel. Then they decided to take the sounds and rhythms of gospel and put meaningful stories and lyrics into them and established the country music genre. Later on in the mid 1900s country singers started putting some passion and soul into there music, taking their lives, putting them into a song, and singing them in a way that made everyone want to listen. Then came the excitement and beats of rock and roll in the late 1960s and 70s and it is a part of country music that has lasted ever since. The history and sound of country music has changed over the past hundred years, but it has kept the same ole southern tradition.

The tradition of country music has been passed down from fathers to sons, from moms to daughters, and visa versa. Country music has a tradition of family values, friends and family coming together, and the simple pleasures of life. This music describes events of good and even the bad. Country defines the secrets to life and true love. Many people say that country music is just crying music, but in all actuality it describes real life, it describes people's favorite places, it explains personal feelings, and it describes real situations that happen to real people. Country music will always be, no matter what people think, the "real" music that tells the "real" story.
