Essay title: Decision Making

Change is a part of every beings existence; however, change also represents the definition of stress, which obviously could lead to human resistance. No one wants to experience stress. Human beings also develop a schedule throughout their lives, breaking this schedule or altering it in some way could throw a person into a rut. So, how can management reduce the need for resistance? Well, if an employee feels comfortable in his/her work environment change will be less likely to affect them in a diverse way. Change also must be gradual; a gradual change can ease an employee out of their natural habits and into the kind of worker you are looking for, patience is key.

Decision making, the most critical part of all action, must occur before any action can occur. Decision making is important for many reasons; mainly bad decisions can cost a business. A bad decision in the world of business directly correlates with the loss of revenue. Precious time also becomes lost because a bad decision must be compensated for, and yet another decision must be made to handle it. Good workers make good decisions.

Planning for an event greatly increases ones chances of handling things in a better manor when situations present themselves. Planning a business is no different. Strategic planning must be applied in order to realize future problems that may arise and what needs to be done in the present. The general environment is one area which defiantly requires planning for a business. The government has strict pollution and other regulations a business must plan ahead in order to elude a violation and possible fine. A business operating environment also must be taken into account. Employees make business thrive. Work environments must be safe, sanitary, and unthreatening, if permitted. Again violation of health regulations or having unsafe work conditions which could cause injury cost a business money.
