In this section of the song he is talking to a girl he likes. In the first two lines he says he wants to be her teddy bear, which is something girls like to hug, say is cute, and love. These are also things he wants her to do to him. The next two lines are talking about her putting a leash on him and taking him anywhere which is where he talks about how she has a hold on him and he will do whatever she wants. Then the last two lines are just a repetition of the first.
This music is different from music today because of length as one example. A lot of the music by Elvis is short; it only has two or three stanzas while music nowadays has six or seven stanzas. He is also has a kind of shaky voice. Music now doesn’t have that we like it loud and steady not shaky. Another difference is the beat. Beats now are a lot faster and have more electronically enhanced sounds while Elvis is pure band and while it is fast for that time period it is nothing compared to rappers now.
This music was appealing to younger generations but not the older ones. Kids back the liked this music, it was fun to listen to and fun to dance to. The young girls liked Elvis for not only his
