Essay title: Fairytale

Once upon a time, a young boy called ‘Matthew was sleeping pleasantly in his bed until he was awoken by delicate footsteps and hushed giggling. Immediately the disturbed boy arose from his bed in search of this recurring resonance. When his eyes had adjusted from deep sleep, Matthew was startled by what he thought resembled a fairy like creature.

A petit woman, blond hair, fair skin with a set of brittle green wings attached to her back, like a butterfly and on her brow sat a little tiara, set with a single star. She hovered over his bed trailing sprinkles of dust. Matthew was astonished by what he was seeing and was extremely bewildered as to why a creature as small as his thumb had appeared in his room. However, little did he know that she wished to take him to another world…, an enchanting world where time does not exist.

With the sprinkle of fairy dust, Matthew was awoken again to the sound of chanting and humming, but this time, he did not wake up in his plain and simple bedroom but instead found himself cushioned into a bed of vibrant coloured flowers that reached out into the distance for miles and miles. The land was full of colour; rainbows danced along the horizon and sun beamed through the clouds gently caressing ………………………….and leaving in a wide path it’s sparkling and scintillating gleams. Every inch of land was laden with glittering crystals.

Soon after this moment of memorization, the young boy glanced up at the fluffy clouds only to find himself encircled by thousands of fairy like creatures chanting to him endlessly, “We are the fairies of Diddledum Land, we come in peace, now hold our hand, wake up!, wake up! And join our fun.”

Their voices were very high-pitched and giggly and they looked very similar to the fairy that brought Matthew to this fairy land, only these fairies were not wearing a tiara. Matthew therefore presumed that that fairy was the ring leader of the kingdom.

With every step he took across the magical flowerbed and land of heart of gold, he became more and more enchanted by where he was and what he saw.

Every single creature he came across was taking part in some sort of handicraft, or simply cooking food. As he strode, giant like through the crowd of miniature winged fantastical people, they stopped and turned
