One can’t help but take note of this new medium and what exactly it brings to the table. Perhaps no more visible symbol of our technology age exists than the computer. Just as adults are more likely to encounter computers in their daily experiences so, too, are children. The proponents have come to the conclusion that positive results of their researches and the corresponding application of their software have proven that Forest Camp Adventure is a most effective tool for learning especially to children.
Summary of Findings
The study conducted aimed to propose 3D RPG Game, entitled “Forest Camp Adventure” for Preparatory and Grade 1 students of Saint John Fisher School which will provide more education than most recent educational games. The proposed study also aimed to provide a non violent 3D RPG among children especially nowadays when violence is prevalent. The study was able to answer specific questions with regards to the present status of role playing game and that is to minimize the growth of some violent game that children can easily play. Moreover, the study determined the benefits of the proposed software in relation to performance, information management, economics, control & security, efficiency and service, and defined that there is a significant difference between the existing educational medium for children and the proposed Forest Camp Adventure after accessing quality of the proposed software. Through the implementation of the proposed system the teachers, parents can now teach their children even at home and they can be assured that while the children play it, they also learn at the same time. The existing system is a monotonous way of learning especially to children who love to play. The traditional educational mediums for children are therefore not that efficient to use. Users of the proposed system are also exposed to the current trend in technology regarding 3D Role Playing Games. Through the PIECES Software Criteria, respondents rated the game on aesthetics, instructions, originality, play appeal, and play value.
The scale range of 1.00 to 3.50 determined the constraint of both systems and the range 3.51 up to 5.00 determined the capabilities of both systems as well. Refer to Table 4.7 Summary of Grand Means. Table 4.7 shows that the criterion Performance in existing is 1.62 while in the proposed is 4.61. The criterion Information Management in existing is 1.55 while in the proposed is 4.52. The criterion Economics in existing is 1.63 while in proposed is 4.58. The criterion Control and Security in existing is 1.56 while in proposed is 4.46. The criterion Efficiency in existing is 1.63 while in the proposed is 4.58. The criterion Service in existing is 1.54 while in the proposed is 4.50. The Grand Grand Mean in existing is 1.59 while in the proposed is 4.54. It shows that there is an enormous significant difference between the existing, traditional teaching medium for children and the proposed, Forest Camp Adventure.
