Essay title: Freedom

Freedom is a very influential concept. Its technical denotation is: the condition of being able to use or move about in as desired. The word is always a noun. The type of word freedom is is a value. Freedom has many different connotations because it can be applied to many different situations. Three of its synonyms are liberty, independence, and emancipation. Freedom is a powerful word that has inspired many people and nations throughout the history of the world.

One of freedom's connotations is a political connotation. When freedom has this connotation, it refers to a government that does not have any people who are enslaved or oppressed in any way. Because it has a political connotation, freedom is often confused with the word democracy. However, there are many distinct differences between freedom and democracy. A democracy means every citizen of a state or nation has the right to take a part in the government. The confusion is caused because almost all democracies are free nations. Another thing that freedom is confused with is being able to do whatever you want, whenever you want to do it. This assumption about freedom is often made because of its dictionary definition which is stated in the preceding paragraph. A free person cannot always do whatever s/he wants because that may cut into the rights and freedoms of others. For example,
