Essay title: Greaser Hero Shot in Park
Dallas Winston a Greaser from Kansas was shot after an armed robbery; he was shot many times and killed. Dallas, a hero in last week’s paper, saved children from a burning school was shot by the cops in the park after robbing a supermarket.
Armed with a pistol, he got the money from the clerk and ran as fast as he could as shots were fired at him from the clerk! He then ran into a laundry mat where he called for help and a getaway. While trying to get to Dally, Pony, Two-bit, Soda and the rest of the Greaser gang he was shot by the cops and died after being shot many times.
Pony, Darry, Two-bit, and Sodapop say he was depressed and mad so that is why he robbed the supermarket. We interviewed Darry, the person that Dally or Dallas Winston called while at the laundry mat for some help and a fast getaway.
We first asked, what Dally said on the phone? He then replied,” Dally said he needed us to meet him in the park and that he had just robbed a supermarket and the cops were looking for him and that he needed a quick easy getaway.”
Then when we asked Darry why he thought Dally robbed the Supermarket this is what he said. Darry said, “Dally was mad and depressed because his friend Johnny died the day before because of bad burns.” Then we asked him if he thought Dally was a hero or a felon? Then he replied, “ Johnny was a brave hero that died after days in the hospital with 3rd degree burns through out his body.” He got those burns after rescuing many children from the burning school.
Many people say that Johnny is the hero of the city,
