It can be argues that telling myth is one of the most important thing humans can do. Every one in every culture in any time has a myth to tell. Put all the stories or myth together you get the subject of “mythology”. These stories are usually about heroes, gods, monsters, and other forces of nature.
To understand myths you need to understand the traits of humans. You see myths can be beautiful, charming, humors, and creative. On the other hand they can also be cruel, prejudice, violent, and plain absurd. So you see that you can read a myth and see human chartists because people told myth in the way the saw people.
One important thing to remember .Mythology is a religion or is apart of a religion. Some of these religions are not in existence any more, and others are practice by millions around the world.
Greek mythology is the most famous and important mythology there is in my opinion. Is it the basic form of mythology? I think so. I mean it all started here. It is what you learn in elementary school.
But the Greeks only one flaw in these great stories, they did not keep there myths consistent. You could read one myth and go read another one about the same thing and it is totally different. The Greeks weren’t really looking for the answer more like an answer.
